Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Hansford County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be kept as needed to prepare and deliver a response. Messages remain within the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the servers may automatically receive basic technical details about the visit:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files saved on a device. They help measure how visitors move through the website, including which pages receive traffic and where visits end. Analytics providers combine that usage data for reporting. A browser can block cookies, though doing so may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
This website does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of Hansford County court dockets or personal case-record data. It publishes general directions to the Hansford County combined clerk office, the 84th Judicial District Court, lower courts, and re:SearchTX. Hansford County Court Docket is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party dossiers.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted through a tool is governed by that provider's privacy policy, not this policy. Each provider controls its retention and sharing practices. Review those terms before running a search.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Hansford County clerk, Texas courts, re:SearchTX, legal resources, and outside search tools. Once a visitor follows an external link, that destination's privacy policy controls the visit. Read it before providing personal information.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be received by:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used to protect collected data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so the website cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If information from a minor is identified, a request may be made for its deletion.
Your Data Rights
Applicable Texas privacy and consumer-protection laws may provide additional rights over personal data. The Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, concerns access to government information and is not a general private-site privacy statute. Texas courts also explain that court case records follow court-specific access rules rather than a universal TPIA request. Subject to applicable law, a visitor can:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may change as services or legal duties change. Any revision will be posted here with a new effective date, so visitors can review the current practices.
Effective date: September 7, 2026
